Welcome to Kleri. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Kleri mobile application (the “App”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Kleri, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kleri. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Description of Service
Kleri is an allergen tracking and product scanning application that helps users scan product barcodes to identify ingredients, track personal allergen preferences, save and organize products, and receive alerts about potential allergens.
Important: Kleri is an informational tool and does not replace professional medical advice. Always verify product ingredients independently, especially for severe allergies. We are not responsible for allergic reactions or health issues resulting from reliance on the App.
4. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your password, notify us immediately of any unauthorized use, and be responsible for all activities under your account. You may delete your account at any time through App settings.
5. Free and Premium Features
Free Features
Kleri offers a free tier including basic product scanning, allergen tracking, and basic product lists.
Premium Features
Premium features are available through in-app purchases displayed in the App. Premium purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their refund policies, and non-transferable between accounts.
Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription, it automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may cancel through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period with no refunds for partial periods.
6. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems to access the Service
- Upload false or misleading product information
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
7. Content and Data
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content solely to provide the Service.
Product Data
Product information is sourced from third-party databases and user contributions. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee all information is correct, current, or complete.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Kleri and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
9. Medical Disclaimer
Kleri is NOT a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You acknowledge that product information may be incomplete or outdated, manufacturers may change ingredients without notice, cross-contamination warnings may not be included, and you should always verify ingredients independently. You use the Service at your own risk.
For severe allergies, always consult a medical professional and verify ingredients directly with the manufacturer.
10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING ACCURACY OF PRODUCT INFORMATION, UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KLERI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ALLERGIC REACTIONS OR HEALTH ISSUES RESULTING FROM USE OF THE APP, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, OR DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kleri from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, prolonged inactivity, or any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases and your data will be deleted within 30 days.
13. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If a dispute arises, contact us at support@kleri.app to resolve it informally first. Unresolved disputes will be handled through binding arbitration. You waive the right to participate in class actions or representative proceedings.
15. Miscellaneous
These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Kleri. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver.
16. Apple and Google Terms
If you access the Service through an iOS device, you acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no warranty obligations. You agree to comply with Apple’s App Store Terms of Service. If on Android, you agree to comply with Google Play Terms of Service.
